The Smashing Machine
My review
Shows some drama but doesn't really answer any questions about who this guy is, what his background is, how did he get to where he is etc. This made the film just feel like it didn't have much real plot, it was just fight after fight with no real build up. The Rock's acting was pretty wooden as usual, and a lot of the cast are fighters not actors so they're even worse.
Plot overview
In the late 1990s, up-and-coming mixed martial artist Mark Kerr aspires to become the greatest fighter in the world. However, he must also battle his opioid dependence and a volatile relationship with his girlfriend Dawn.
